Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Symposium 2017
On Wednesday, June 14th, Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine (PCRM) hosted its first annual Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Symposium at the Chan Centre for Family Health Education in Vancouver. All four of PCRM’s physicians took part in this amazing day, and over 140 medical professionals were in attendance. With eleven speakers, the symposium covered a wide range of topics including fertility, egg freezing, Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), endometriosis, male factor infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and much more.
After starting the day off with registration and a hearty breakfast, the symposium began with Dr. Jeffrey Roberts taking the stage for opening remarks. Following each presentation, thought-provoking questions were asked, sparking lively conversation. Those in attendance were taking notes, and had great feedback for our speakers. A much-needed cocktail reception wrapped up a full day of fertility knowledge where everyone had the the opportunity to network and mingle.
The Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Symposium is an event not only to bring leaders together, but to spread knowledge and medical advancements. General Practitioners and OB-GYN’s were also able to claim Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits. PCRM intends to make this an annual event, and is looking forward to what next year will bring. We hope to see you there!
If you missed anything during the symposium, PowerPoint presentations and recordings will be available soon. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates.
