Fertility Clinic Vancouver
The Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine (PCRM) is focused on your needs with our comprehensive IVF and reproductive medical care.
PCRM’s laboratory was constructed to optimize embryo growth for IVF applications. Our lab was designed and commissioned by Oozoa Biomedical Incorporated, who are recognized as authorities on quality assurance for IVF and Andrology laboratories. Oozoa has designed many highly successful labs around the world with a strong emphasis on air quality and risk management.
For the protection of patient embryos and banked samples, we have a sophisticated security and monitoring system, with an high-capacity generator for 7-day back-up power supply.
We use the latest electronic record keeping to ensure accuracy and continuity on your file between practitioners. Practice Hwy's software "eIVF" is a fertility EMR which allows easy communication between staff and patients.
For accurate screening, PCRM uses state-of-the-art ultrasound, with 3D and real time 3D (also known as 4D) imaging for fertility and pregnancy ultrasounds. We have eight ultrasound machines utilized for a variety of procedures and screens. We are also the only facility accredited by DAP (Diagnostic Accreditation Program) in the province.
PCRM’s interior design will make your visit relaxing, calming, and enjoyable – all required for optimizing fertility. Our design flows through to our staff, whose primary objective is to ensure that patient-focused care is delivered in a sensitive and caring manner. We have also incorporated several smaller consulting areas, to preserve the discretion of our clientele.
Our staff are drawn from a history of global excellence in Fertility care. Our Physicians, nurses and laboratory scientists have a wealth of experience to optimize your results. PCRM pioneered the only first trimester screening program certified by Fetal Medicine Foundation in British Columbia, for the provision of nuchal translucency testing, facial angle, ductus venosus and nasal bone determination for evaluation of genetic disorders in pregnancy. In addition, we offer on-site laboratory screening blood work to further increase the detection rates of the First Trimester Screen to over 96%.
Our physicians are active in the Fraser Health regional medical staff. We interface with hospitals, our colleagues, and affiliated centres in medical and alternative health care. Dr. Havelock is the program director at UBC in the gynecologic reproductive endocrinology and infertility subspecialty residency program – a prestigious posting for a nationally recognized IVF Physician. Dr. Roberts is the National Director of Continuing professional Development at the Canadian Fertility Andrology Society. Dr. Seethram is the co-chair of Specialist Services in BC, and is also the head of Gynecology for the Fraser Health Region. Dr. Dunne is a Clinical Assistant Professor with UBC in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and is a regular lecturer to the UBC medical students and the medical residents both Family Practice and Ob/Gyn departments.
PCRM is the first and only fertility clinic in BC with a licensed pharmacy for our patients requiring reproductive medication. This guarantees close continuity and instruction between the prescribing physician and our patients, minimizing dispensing error. By regulation, we have a dedicated link to Pharmanet. We are able to also work with insurance companies to assist with claims.
24 hour On-Site Security
Our property management team at Canada Way Business Park spares no expense ensuring that their tenant’s premises are safe and secure 24/7 through the dedicated work of Paladin Security. Our physicians are on-call 24/7 for both patients and our security staff. Our senior embryologists are also on-call 24/7 for the PCRM lab through an acoustic emission device called a sensaphone which alerts them if equipment is alarming. In addition to our building security, PCRM has the Keyscan Access Control Systems™ with after-hour motion and door sensors. This system allows us to control access of both patients and staff throughout the facility, and to track the movement of employees and contractors through each door.
