Satellite Monitoring Program

What we can do for our Satellite patients:

Satellite Monitoring can be booked at our Edmonton AB, Burnaby and Victoria, BC Clinic sites.

Ultrasounds:

As part of our Satellite Monitoring, we can assist with the following ultrasound types:

  1. Pelvic Ultrasounds (Transvaginal)
  2. Sonohysterogram (SHG)

Bloodwork:

PCRM can complete the below-listed lab requests.

At this time, PCRM is unable to complete some pre-cycle labs, such as screening STIs, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), cholesterol, diabetes, CBC, etc.  These are considered “pre-cycle” and are best ordered by a family physician as if there is anything out of range it is the responsibility of the family physician to diagnose and treat. We also do not offer early obstetrical/viability ultrasounds, hysterosalpingography (HSG), or satellite endometrial biopsies.

Satellite Medications:

We can usually without a problem rewrite all medication prescriptions in North America. All satellite prescriptions must be provided in full script and be signed by a physician from your treating clinic. Please note you will require at least one recent satellite pelvic ultrasound at PCRM prior before any medications are dispensed as per our clinic policy.

We CANNOT rewrite:  Steroid based medications, Blood thinners, or thyroid medications as these are medications that need regular titrating and monitoring by a family physician with regular blood work monitoring.

Once you are registered as a Satellite patient, you will be provided with a Login ID and temporary password for portal access to complete your demographic profile. This is required for our physician to review your chart for any re-write prescriptions as needed.

Satellite Monitoring Fees:

  1. Satellite Admin Fee - $500 (Payment is due at first visit and is valid for 1 year from date of payment)
  2. Pelvic (Transvaginal) Ultrasounds - $300 per ultrasound
  3. Sonohysterogram (SHG/SIS) - $450
  4. In-house Estradiol (E2) blood work: $150 (only drawn at PCRM- Burnaby site)
