Emotional Support and Education – All support group sessions have moved to an online delivery system.

The focus of this group is infertility support with an emphasis on emotional support and education. To promote informed support and self-education to help break the ‘victim cycle’ and move from isolation, reduce anxiety, and gain feelings of control, self-worth, and hope. Sessions are held approximately every 6 – 8 weeks.

Chandra Sen, MA, RCC

Chandra Sen is a registered clinical counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from UBC. Since 1999, she has specialized in the field of infertility counseling and sees clients from the Lower Mainland and the United States. The investigations and treatments for infertility can be enormously stressful for patients. In her work, Chandra familiarizes couples with strategies to help cope with the often far-reaching implications and stresses associated with infertility, pregnancy loss, and treatment involving donor sperm/egg.

Terry Karpman, PhD, Psychologist

Dr. Karpman works collaboratively with clients to meet their needs and goals for personal growth and development and encourages them to reach their full potential. She focuses on encouraging clients to recognize their own strengths and resources and empowering them to take care of their own needs in a healthy way. In working with clients, Dr. Karpman facilitates change to allow clients to gain a sense of self-worth, inner strength and empowerment, and personal growth, as they work through different life experiences, transitions, and challenges.
