While the industry standard is to use cryo tanks for up to 30 years, we take a more proactive stance. At PCRM, we retire our tanks after only 10 years. This approach helps us minimize the risk of equipment failure and ensures our storage systems remain in peak condition.

Many fertility clinics choose to use either an internal temperature probe or external thermal monitoring for their cryo tanks, but at PCRM, we implement both. This dual-monitoring system offers an extra layer of protection by cross-checking temperature stability and identifying potential issues early. Our thorough approach helps prevent unnoticed fluctuations, ensuring the safety of stored tissues.
Continuous 24-Hour Monitoring
Our laboratories utilize a 24-hour continuous monitoring system that keeps a vigilant watch over all critical and non-critical equipment. This system ensures that we are aware of any issues the moment they arise, allowing us to take corrective action immediately.
Central Monitoring Command Center (CMCC)
Beyond local lab monitoring, we operate a Central Monitoring Command Center (CMCC) that oversees all labs within our network. The CMCC adds an extra layer of oversight, ensuring the integrity of our monitoring systems at every location.
Direct CEO Notification
In the rare event of temperature fluctuations outside the acceptable range, most systems only notify lab personnel. At PCRM, however, our alert system also notifies our CEO directly, alongside lab staff. All corrective actions are documented and reviewed to prevent future issues, ensuring any potential problems are addressed promptly with top-level oversight for added accountability and swift response.
